Mobile-Macro-Ventures Fieldtrips
The first-ever mobile-macro fieldtrip to be organised in Singapore, and perhaps anywhere else. We bring you on a exciting trip to open up the minute world of insects through your phone camera and our macro lens. You will be taught the basics of mobile macro-photography before we bring you out to practise your new-found skills at a nature park. You will be amazed at what you and your phone camera can do together with our macro lens.
WHO IS THIS FIELDTRIP FOR?
For those who would like to jump-start their new hobby, for parents to bond with children and for those who would like to know a little bit more about mobile-macro.
All you need is a basic level of fitness, a phone camera and lots of patience. We will cover less than a kilometre in this fieldtrip as we will be combing bushes and trees for shooting subjects – that takes a lot of time and patience.
Jump straight into it
Let us help you flatten your learning curve by giving you an introduction to the basics of mobile macro-photography. Once you get the hang of using your phone with our lens, we will bring you out for a practical hands-on fieldtrip to practise your newfound skills. You will be guided on the finer art of taking macro photos along the way, saving you the heartpains of learning it the hard way.
Quality bonding with your children
Instead of long aimless walks through the parks, add more meaning to your nature exploration with your children by joining our fieldtrips. Explore the huge world of little insects and marvel at their beauty with your kids. Learn together and spend quality time to create stronger bonds with your children. Because we want to promote family bonding, we will be giving family discounts – bigger families get better discounts. It’s our way of helping parents bond with their children.
A new hobby for everyone
Whether you are young or old, or not so of either, this fascinating hobby is suitable for most. It is affordable, addictive and educational. Come join us on a fieldtrip and let us show how much you have missed out in your walks in the park. One of the most frequent comments we hear is “oh, I never knew there are such things!”. We have a tendency to do things fast, even in a nature park. Slow down, take your time and make new discoveries.
Cost
S$30 per participant (inclusive of a $5 ring holder and use of our macro lens for the fieldtrip)
S$54 : Family of 2 (1 parent + 1 child)
S$78 : Family of 3 (at least 1 parent)
S$100 : Family of 4 (at least 1 parent)
* Macro lens will be loaned to every participant during the fieldtrip. Optional purchase of macro lens is available at @S$18.
** All participants will receive a ring holder (S$5).
Attire
Long-sleeve shirt and long pants
Sports/trekking shoes
Hat/cap
Water bottle
Insect repellant (Mosquito patches do not work well. Recommended to use a spray repellent.)
Backpack – As you need both hands for the mobile-macro shoot, please place all your belongings in a backpack that you can carry with you.
Mobile phone fully charged – one per participant.
Note that we will be using the phone without the protective covers because the lens cannot focus well with the covers on. A ring-holder is provided to help you to hold on to your phone more securely. Please note that MMV is not responsible for any damage to your phone as a result of your participation in our session.
Details
Your MMV fieldtrip will begin with preparing yours and your kids’ phones for your macro-photo shoots and a little hands-on practice before we embark on our journey. Then we will start our search for subjects to shoot.
After the session, parents are encouraged to select each child’s best macro photos and send it to us. We will award him/her with a Photo of the Day award and a digital certificate which will be PMed to you and also displayed on our MMV FB Page.

Time : 9.00am to 11.00pm
3.00pm to 5.00pm
Venue : Ang Mo Kio Town Garden West . Alternate suitable venues can be arranged if it is a private booking by a family of 4.

By booking with Mobile-macro.com’s “Mobile-Macro-Ventures”, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be legally bound by our terms and conditions. Your participation constitutes a legally binding contract between Mobile-macro.com and you for the fieldtrips organised by Mobile-macro.com.
PAYMENTS
Payments must be made before the start of the activity.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
By booking with Mobile-macro.com, you acknowledge that participation in our fieldtrips involves inherent risks. Mobile-macro.com will not be held liable for any injury or death arising from participating in our fieldtrips or for any loss of or damage to your property arising from your participation in our fieldtrips.
EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
Where Mobile-macro.com strives to provide our fieldtrips with due care and diligence, it is not responsible for the acts and omissions of others (including fieldtrip leaders, guides and other service providers) or for any loss, damage, injury or expense, which you may incur as a consequence of the acts and omissions of others.
CANCELLATION
By Mobile-macro.com. Should there be any cancellation of the booked fieldtrip due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be informed in advance and payments will be either refunded or brought forward to the another date at the discretion of Mobile-macro.com.
By Participant. No refunds will be given. Your booking is transferable to another person provided you inform Mobile-macro.com at least 24 hours in advance of any change in the name of the participant. In the event of a no-show by the participant, there will be no refund.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather where the fieldtrip cannot proceed, there will be no refund. You can book an alternate date with us for another fieldtrip.
MINIMUM PARTICIPATION
A minimum of 4 participants is required for this fieldtrip to proceed. If this requirement is not met, Mobile-macro.com reserves the right to either proceed with a smaller number or reschedule the fieldtrip to another date. In the case of rescheduling, participants involved will be informed 24 hours before the start of the fieldtrip. Mobile-macro.com will strive to arrange for alternative dates convenient for our participants to the best of its ability.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY
You agree that photos and videos of yourself taken by Mobile-macro.com during the fieldtrip can be used for our promotion and marketing purposes (eg website, social media, brochures etc) and will be the property of Mobile-macro.com.
