(8) Problems with my phone

Phone heats up very quickly

I am quite alarmed by the heat generated after I have taken many shots with my S8. I’m not sure if other phones have the same heating problem. What I do to over come this is to bring along a slightly damped small towel. I’ll wrap it around my S8 when it gets too hot. It helps to cool down the phone quickly. But I must admit it’s a slight pain.

I wrap a damp towel around my phone to cool it down. It can get hot very quickly after taking several shots in succession.

Power Bank

The other problem I encounter is that my phone battery runs out quite quickly after I have taken many shots. So I bring along a power bank and a long charging cable. I find that a short charging cable restricts the movement of my phone. With a long cable, I can link the power bank in my pocket to my phone in my sling bag.

A long charging cable is good for easier movement. Note the glare/reflection – that’s what I’m referring to in the next section.

Reflection

At certain angles, I cannot see what I am shooting because of the reflection on the screen. (Please see above photo) I think I need an anti-reflection or anti-glare screen protector or something like that to resolve this problem. I’ll be looking into this.

Accidental touch

When I use the CapGrip, I get caught up with this problem of accidentally touching my screen, thus turning the camera off and back to the Home Screen. It gets to the point of frustration at the frequency of accidental “offs”. I’m still trying to figure out a way to prevent this from happening.
