(7) Touching up your photos

Post-processing simply means touching up your photos. So if you read about post-processing being done, fear not – it’s a complicated phrase for a simple task. What do you do after you’ve selected your good photos amongst the hundreds you’ve taken from your morning’s walk? You will need to make some tweaks to these photographs, touch them up – make them prettier, brighter, darker, crop them etc. And it’s actually a relatively simple task. If you know Photoshop or Lightroom, that’s good. If you don’t, simply download a photo-editing app or use your phone’s dedicated photo editor.

I find that a major problem with using my mobile phone to take macros is that a lot of my photos turn up with a greenish or yellowish hue. I have not been able to solve this problem or to find out why yet. So I have no choice but to use Photoshop and Lightroom to touch up my photos. (PS : Lightroom is like a more advanced version of Photoshop to touch up photos.)

You don’t have or don’t know how to use these softwares? No problem. Every phone has its own dedicated photo editor software that you can use to touch up your photos.

I see a lot of people using the app Snapseed to do that. I find that Snapseed is quite easy to use for touching up photos. So you might want to download this app to try it out if you haven’t. It has a lot of functions that you can use on your photos. Personally, I like this app and use it a lot. I’m sure you probably are familiar with your own fav photo editor app to touch up your photos. But whatever it is, in my opinion, most of the photos will still have to be touched up in some way to make it look more presentable.
